A Meaningful Thing
When I was a child I often helped an old lady in my neighborhood do some things that I could do. She often gave me some vegetables or fruits that she grew as a reward. Although these things weren't worth much the feeling of helping others made me feel very satisfied. I think doing something meaningful doesn't require too much sacrifice and we can even get more rewards ourselves.
Now I have become a teacher. Once I found a student in my class who was very low in mood during class kept his head down and didn't want to talk. I talked to him and found out that he had some learning problems that made him feel helpless. I gave him some advice and told him he could come to me for help anytime. From that day on the student became more active and confident than before. I felt very happy because my help made him happier and more confident. This was also a profoundly meaningful experience for me.
In conclusion doing something meaningful can make us feel satisfied and get more rewards. These experiences of helping others enable us to better understand the beauty of human nature and be more grateful for the help of others.
