The Saihanba Forest is located in the northwest of Chengde City Hebei Province China. Occupying an area of 93000 hectares it is the largest artificial forest in the world. Saihanba was originally a desolate and barren area but thanks to the hard work of generations of foresters it has become a lush forest that plays a critical role in conserving the natural environment and regulating the climate.
