March 3rd is a traditional Chinese festival also known as the Dragon Head Festival. It falls on the third day of the third month in the lunar calendar which usually occurs in late March or early April in the Gregorian calendar.
On this day people will celebrate by drinking a kind of wine called "realgar wine" and eating special foods such as glutinous rice cakes which are shaped like a dragon or a carp. People will also take part in dragon boat races and fly kites.
